Courtney Sutherland, C-IAYT, E-RYT 500, YACEP, RYS 300
Studio Advisor & Yoga Therapist
Courtney began her yoga journey in 1998 and has been teaching since 2007. She holds an E-RYT 500 status and a prestigious 800-hour C-IAYT credential from the International Association of Yoga Therapists. Alongside her clinical training, Courtney brings over a decade of studio management experience to her role as Studio Advisor at The Vault, a background that culminated in running four popular yoga studios as an Area Lead in Colorado.
Her passion for midlife wellness is deeply personal. At age 38, Courtney experienced intense perimenopausal symptoms that went completely undiagnosed due to her young age. After navigating a confusing medical gap alongside major life disruptions—including a severe arm injury, a divorce, and a cross-country relocation back home to Iowa—she dedicated her therapeutic practice to helping women navigate their own powerful transitions.
Courtney stands firmly in the belief that we do not have to "suffer through" peri/menopause. Aging is not a personal failure, age is not ugly, and your body is not a problem that needs to be "fixed." Being alive is a gift, and this transition is a sacred rite of passage into your true wisdom and truth.
At Vault, you can experience Courtney’s expert instruction through her regular alignment-focused yoga classes. For deeper communal support, she will also be hosting her signature program, Unlocking You: A Peri/Menopause Roadmap. This closed, 16-woman yoga therapy circle is designed to help you clearly name your experience, quiet the stress loop, and share practical tools to manage the chaos alongside a dedicated community of women.
